GOAT PULLING CHARIOT, CHERUB, minature - 19th Century Cont. Silver (4V6)

Stunning antique Continental Silver Goat hauling an ornate Chariot with revolving wheels. The the helm of the Cheriot a Cherub / Cupid / small child holding a whip to make the Goats run faster.  The Horned Goat is has remarkable detail and the Chariot beautifully decorated with embossed flowers on each side and is (gold) gitled in the interior. No expense to detail in this Miniature Figural object of art. Even the Goat's cart is beautifully detailed. This miniature measures 3" inches in length and stands 1 3/4" high. Tremendous workmanship and absolutely stunning at any angle. Most likely this piece is Dutch in origin. There is a hallmark 'N' on the back of the Chariot and possibly minute hallmarks on one of the wheels (these much too small to tell even under a 10X loop and much too small for our camera to capture, even when enlarged on the screen). The antique Solid Silver Miniature Horned Goat pulling a Chariot with Cherub has substantial heft and weighs approximately 51.8 grams. Upon close inspection with enlarged photographs, did we noticed the Goat is missing one hoof on his back leg. Some oxidation in hard to reach areas. The photographs show this exceptional piece very well and even better in person. The quality of the workmanship when viewed in person is unsurpassed. The photographs were taken with and without a camera flash.
